We are proud to present our Fair in this Historic site in Torrington. Architect Charles S. Palmer designed the Torrington Armory, built in November 1910 and opened in February of the following year as a training location for Torrington’s National Guard unit. The Armory, which was used as Torrington High School’s gym from 1926 to 1964, has been operated as a facility for the public by the Torrington Parks and Recreation Department since 1994.
Thanks to generous donations by our vendors and local merchants --one of the highlights of the Fair is the gigantic Fundraiser Auction Raffle. Just select one of the many prizes offered and drop your ticket in the jar for that item. Each item holds its own drawing -- so you have a much better chance of winning the items you love!
Play dress-up with a great selection of costumes and funny accent wear and then take some amazing SELFIES with friends and family! Five pics for only $5. Bring Mom along and get 10% off pictures.
We will be serving Phil's Famous Hot Dogs with a variety of garnishments.
Have them with chips on the side or even on top -- if you be so bold!
Bring the whole family -- face painting and free activity table for the kids. Leo's Club volunteers from the THS occupy the kids while parents enjoy the Fair.
There will be an activity table for young children with all kinds of fun stuff to do. Supervised by volunteers of the Leos club. The Leos are the Torrington High School Lions youth group sponsored by the Torrington Lions Club.
As if having the greatest vendors in CT attending the Fair was not enough... we added some really fun surprises to keep everyone entertained. Various craft and weaving demonstrations, make-overs, face painting and a photo booth for crazy costumed pics with friends or memorable family portraits.
Rain or Shine ~ This event is being held indoors - there is no rain date.
The Armory building has handicap access and Lions Club members are available if you need special assistance to attend.
The 2016 Spring Fair is brought to you by the Torrington Lions Club in conjunction with Parks and Recreation.
