2017 Extravaganza Report
Dear Participants and Visitors:
The success of our 2017 extravaganza exceeded our expectations. Attention to safety, good manners, friendly hospitality and the support of local business was at the core of our success. This event reflects the historic nature of the people of Torrington to be an outstanding community.
I received overwhelming positive feedback from guests as well as participants. Many telling me, it was their best tag sale day ever. 2017 managers, buyers and sellers are already discussing plans for 2018.
Special thanks to Margaret Tucker (co-chairperson) and the Torrington Lions Club for their donation of the street signs and providing volunteers at the Parks and Recreation to hand out maps the day of the event. I can't say enough about the office of Parks and Recreation and their amazing support throughout the event.
Of course without the participation of local businesses and residents this event could never have been realized. For all your effort in making visitors feel like guests and the work it takes to host a sale -- my sincere appreciation.
